“Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were appointed for me, When as yet there was not one of them [even taking shape].
Psalms 139:16 AMP
So many people today are concerned about the future. Wars, rumors of wars, inflation, crazy politics, and a judicial system that cannot discern right from wrong. What’s a person to do? Are things so bad that God cannot intervene in our lives to be sure that we are secure? Of course not! If we confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we need to embrace the reality of His sustaining grace and provision! The Psalm today reminds us that its all under control? It isn’t a mistake that you were born at this time in history. It isn’t by a whim of luck that you were conceived. The Scripture is clear,
“For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].”
Ephesians 2:10 AMP
Notice that it says, “For we are HIS workmanship.” That places the responsibility on Him to see the work to completion. We are told that it is because we are “created in Christ Jesus.” That is born-again that qualifies us for being “spiritually transformed, renewed, and ready to be used.” The key to the process is that we are transformed from being worldly minded to be spiritually minded! That’s why we are commanded to,
“Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value].”
Colossians 3:2 AMP
We have been programmed to see this physical world, the temporal and physical as the reality in life when the truth is, the eternal and spiritual realm is the reality of this life! The road of life is paved with victory for the believer! That doesn’t mean that we rub the lamp and God magically grants our wishes. No! There are battles to be fought and ground to be gained over sin in our lives so that we become more and more a reflection of who He is not what we want!
I will leave you with a simple but powerful truth today…WE WIN!
Power Prayer for Promise – The Future
Lord, I confess today that Your eyes have been upon me before I was formed and that my path is ever before You. (Psalms 139:16 ) I choose today to walk in the works that You have placed before me and know that You will see them through. I am Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, spiritually renewed and daily being transformed in to the image of Christ in my life and am ready to be used. (Ephesians 2:10) I will not grow weary while doing good for in due season I will reap the rewards You have promised me. (Galatians 6:9) I will not fret over the work of the enemy but You will keep my heart at peace and give new life to my body. (Proverbs 14:30) Thank You that You will perfect that which concerns me in Your mercy that endures forever so I will not forsake the work of Your hands in my life. (Psalms 138:8) In my weakness, I will cry unto You who will perform all things concerning my life. (Psalms 57:2) In Jesus Name…Amen
Such a wonderful this one and encouraging
