Come Boldly!

“Do not fear, for you will not be put to shame, And do not feel humiliated or ashamed, for you will not be disgraced. For you will forget the shame of your youth, And you will no longer remember the disgrace of your widowhood.” Isaiah 54:4 AMP

For a time, the people of God abandoned their Master and chose to walk in the way of their flesh. Durning this time, God describes them as widows. During that time, they suffered great humiliation and rejection, but God was about to restore them to their place at His side. I love this verse because it reveals the heart of God even to those who are walking in rebellion to His ways. His promise is not to throw our past in our face and make us feel less than worthy to be coming home! The enemy would tell s that we are not worthy or that God may forgive but will always remember our waywardness! Nothing could be further that the truth. In talking about restoration Micah penned these verses:

“Who is a God like You, who forgives wickedness And passes over the rebellious acts of the remnant of His possession? He does not retain His anger forever, Because He [constantly] delights in mercy and lovingkindness. 19He shall again have compassion on us; He will subdue and tread underfoot our wickedness [destroying sin’s power]. Yes, You will cast all our sins Into the depths of the sea.” Micah 7:18-19

In the New Testament Jesus said that He was the Husband, and the church as the bride. He echo’s the relationship we see in the Old Testament. Those who are separated from the Master are the ones walking in their own way. The relationship is literally dead with no hope of revival. God however is constantly reaching out to those lost in their sin.

“For God did not send the Son into the world to judge and condemn the world [that is, to initiate the final judgment of the world], but that the world might be saved through Him.” John 3:17 AMP

We read in the book of Hebrews the following:

““FOR I WILL BE MERCIFUL and GRACIOUS TOWARD THEIR WICKEDNESS, AND I WILL REMEMBER THEIR SINS NO MORE.” Hebrews 8:12 AMP

WOW! We fear not exposing ourselves to the living God. No need to fear rejection or humiliation in His presence in fact the Scripture tells us how we come now to Him in our time of need.

“Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment]. Hebrews 4:16 AMP

Let me encourage you today to enter His throne room in your time of need. Do not let the lie of the enemy tell you that God is not interested in your failures or shortcomings. Grace now abounds to us; not that we may continue to walk in sin but rather to walk in the freedom that He purchased on Calvary! Have a blessed day, Pastor Ken
